Do you have a favorite photo of a building that you want to bring to life? Your home or church are good examples. Working from a perspective photo that you provide (8 x 10); we will start with sketches to develop your picture. You will also learn the importance of working with the correct materials and paper to achieve a finished professional look to your artwork. The majority of time will be devoted to drawing and refining your skills. Within this class you’ll learn the importance of composition, shading, shadows and perspective. We will have discussions on value, hue, and color while working with colored pencils. The skills you develop in this class can be applied to any medium. This class is engaging and informative with particular emphasis on architectural elements in your work. A list of materials is provided, and Mr. Gans will contact you regarding these materials. All skill levels are welcomed.
Harold W. Gans will have nine pieces exhibited at Countryside Framing and Gallery. Pieces include prints and originals done in pencil, water colors, pen and ink and oils. Subject matter comes from architecture, seascapes, animals and motor vehicles. Originals and prints available for purchase.
