One of the most striking features of the Cinque Terre region at the edge of the Italian Riviera is the vibrant color of the Five Towns. Riomaggiore 2 is a colored pencil sketch striving to capture some of that vibrant palette, inspired by Gans’ 2016 trip to Italy. Gans colorized his challenging Riomaggiore 1 pencil sketch in 2023.
